Very nice adventure and great job on the subtitles, thanks for bringing us along on the adventure! It looks like an interesting area but like always the gold doesn't come easy. Do you know if there has been any large hippus found in that area?

I laughed when you called it the 10 skull difficulty area. That's how hard I feel Lemmenjoki is when you don't have a friend with an ATV to drive you to the claim...  Speaking of which, did you ever walk from Kaarreoja to Njurgalahti? I did it last summer with a light backpack, it "only" took me 13 hours...

The whole Naruska and Tuntsa area are shrouded in mystery. I have heard of rumors about some 13g nugget.. but its all very shady. And as for walking from Kaarreoja to Njurgulahti.. nope never done it. And propably will never do it as i've got older i've got a lot ... lets say.. wealthier by the plate, if you know what i mean. Hiking from the hamina to the claim (10,5km) is an extremely tough job for me as i have all this extra luggage to carry around (the negative side of owning ATV for 10 years before).

Oh yeah and for the Naruska skull level rating. It is mostly due to two factors. The ground there is challenging as it feels extremely deep and the stones are just crazy. Logistics are easy as you can just drive next to most places and walk just few K's.

Good to hear the subtitling is hopefully worth the effort. Its a slow process though.

It's great to hear that Tukes is reaching out to you to make that guide. The language has been the biggest barrier for many of us Swedish diggers, so if they hire you to make more guides it would really help us a lot 

We have been discussing the dry land dredge here on the forum too. Please update us on what you find out regarding legality and limitations. I believe the conclusion has been that if it doesn't affect the creek water, and is only used in a hole, it should be fine?

As for this years digging, it will be really interesting to see what you will find. Do you know how far the old timers dug into the side of the creek? Down in Petronella it seems like they didn't go very far from the water. Hopefully you have a nice strip of untouched ground on your claim too.

In my pit, I have the same issue with groundwater as you will have in the lower section. I just bought a submersible electric pump, and it will be really interesting to see what is hidden down there. Without the pump or a dredge it is impossible to reach the bottom, but it is looking really good 

Maybe this year lower Kaarreoja will produce a nice nugget for the hippulista? Let's do our best!

Old timer seem to have dug around 5 - 8m wide swathe around the creek itself, but did not get very deep. I've managed to find twice virgin ground at the bottom. I think my area was just too damn hard for the old timers without pumps so they did very minimal digging there.

Yeah the whole TUKES thing caught me with a surprise. It sure will be interesting to do that stuff. The raporting tool video from TUKES will be out in few weeks and then i can start askin Pasi about the next one.

Yeah the language is a hassle. By metrics most of the channels viewers are older generation Finns and thus are not too well versed in English. But i am getting constantly increasing trafic from all over the world, so.. it is really hard to  balance.

Yeah the dredging is a bit complicated matter. I hear also from LKL that they or someone over there is also asking about it from official govermental ... people. We need a clear answer because as you might allready know. Gold panners seem to have a habit to end up in court even with minor causes. So need to be really careful about this. Word of Pasi is not enought as it is not his place to say about it i think. As it is ELY (NTM-centralernas) bussnies to think about that stuff.

So yeah, lets try to hit the nugget charts. I think we have fair chance at it, because after all Kaarreoja has been known to produce few proper big nuggets. Alteast 3 of them i think.
