Haha, i'm trying to find a 2hp single phase electric motor in the Stockholm area that can rev at 1700 - 1800RPM.... If anyone knows where I can find one please let me know. I tried Scandictools.se but their motor would only turn at 1250RPM which is not enough..
Cheers,
John.

Hmm, no idea now, but would a drill work? I mean, a drill can reach 3000rpm and the one I just saw had around 1,5 HP (if you convert the wattage)

Nice looking crusher..
That looks like a thing I would need. I have been looking for a crusher to..
How does it work.. is it like the Cobracrusher inside?
I would like an engine from a chainsaw or something like that..

Is 2800 rpm to much? They have 1400 rpm motors to.

The drill would be too small as it's a really heavy duty unit & weighs around 50kg without the motor, it has spinning chains inside that smash the rocks to powder in seconds.
The nimaab motors look good but the builder of the crusher has advised me not to go more or less than 1700 - 1800 RPM so I'm trying to stick to his recommendations, i found one at Scandictools.se but it turned out to be only 1250 :(

Why not use "kilrem" dont know the english word.. (corded rubber belt) then you can decide the size of the wheels and get the ratio you want. And at the same time you save the axels if it gets stuck...

Thanks for the answer, I thought about that earlier but the unit comes with a direct lovejoy coupling (google it) for a motor & the motor holes are set up to be inline, i know it would be easy to make another foot plate but I was hoping to just bolt the electric motor straight on. I have an "electric" friend in my fishing club so I'll ask him this morning :)
Thanks again,
John.

I like it... I would like to have something like that, but a little bit smaller.
Where did you get it? Who is the builder?

Looks like its gonna do a good job..

Some miners that are concentrating smaller quantities are using "Goldminer Panning Machine" as it is self contained with just about 15L of water. More units on eBay.

It's been sitting in my local Ica since the 2nd but they "forgot" to send out that information to me!!
Anyway, I have it & now I need to study how to wire it up as it can run both ways & at 115v or 230v I hate electricity  :o
